Marnel Junior School

January at Marnel Junior School

Our children (and staff!) have had a very busy start to the new year.

Year 3's have been enjoying their Ukulele lessons, playing 'In the hall of the Mountain King' by Edvard Grieg.

They have also been learning how to make a cup of tea as part of their 'Life Skills' lesson.

Year 4's have recently visited Winchester Cathedral, where they were able to discover more about their current Anglo-Saxon project.

As part of their Life Skills, they have been making shortbread using an Anglo-Saxon recipe.

Year 5's mummified fish as part of their Egyptian project. Thankfully this was carried out on the playground to prevent the smell in school!

Year 6's are currently completing their Bike-a-bility to ensure that they can cycle safely on the roads.

Ready to Learn enjoyed cooking (and eating!) a cooked breakfast as part of their Life Skills in the Kitchen.

Outdoor Learning cooked boiled eggs and soldiers in their Life Skills lesson.
